Published some years ago in its Italian version by Rivista Fernandel, then winner of the Premio Teramo, “Alzati e Cammina” (“Arise and Walk”) it’s a short story of mine that has really gone a long way. Its latest milestone: appearing on the Chicago Quarterly Review, in a special issue devoted to contemporary Italian Literature.
Here it is, freshly pressed! My heartfelt thanks to my agent Anna Mioni, and to the Senior Editor of the journal, Elizabeth McKenzie, for giving me this opportunity and joy.
